Always ask yourself: Do you want to be in a situation where you have a partner whose goal is for you to exit the company with as much money as possible, so they can get their return?
Craig’s personal philosophy and perspective: Do I want to be in a business that is backed by venture capital with strings attached? What could I do differently by taking a bunch of money?
Andy agrees that specific questions need to be asked before moving forward with a venture capital firm or bootstrapping it. Money does matter. The less involved you are, the more risk there is going to be.
