Craig and Andy talk about moving from the maker to the manager. How do their priorities and responsibilities change? What are the things they want to keep doing, even if it’s not the best use of their time or skill set? How do they find and hire the best people?

Andy is trying to find ways to embrace being a manager. He’s gone from doing it all himself, to overseeing multiple projects led by others. Now, as things move forward and the team grows, Andy doesn’t always feel productive or valuable.
Craig says it’s crucial to hire people who can and want to grow into leaders later on. Competent people make him feel comfortable and confident. However, when Craig is not doing the work and problems arise, he stresses and wonders why he isn’t a great leader and manager.
